Better property photos: 7 tips that work right away

The first photo decides whether a buyer clicks. How to get more out of every apartment with your smartphone.

Buyers from abroad see your apartment on a screen first – often months before a viewing. Good photos are therefore your most important sales argument.

  1. Shoot in daylight. Open the curtains, turn on every light. Mornings or late afternoons are best.
  2. Landscape and straight lines. Hold the phone at chest height and level so walls don’t tilt. The camera’s grid lines help.
  3. Tidy up. Personal items, cables and towels out of sight. Less is more – buyers want to picture themselves in the apartment.
  4. Start with the best. Sea view, balcony or pool belong in the first photo. In ImotDesk simply drag it to the first position.
  5. Tell the tour. Living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, balcony, then complex and surroundings. 15 to 25 photos are usually enough.
  6. Wide angle in moderation. The 0.5× camera shows more space but distorts at the edges. Good for rooms, not for details.
  7. Don’t embellish. Heavy filters show at the viewing and cost trust.
