ImotDesk keeps credentials for servers, email and AI in Windows Credential Manager – not in the database. That way they never end up in backups either.

Cloud storage

The Cloud storage module uploads photos, documents, logo and backups to a Cloudflare R2 bucket or another S3 storage – every 15 minutes, only new and changed files.

Files are encrypted on your PC first. The storage provider cannot read them; even the file names are encrypted.

Restoring

On a new computer, Restore files brings everything back. Files deleted locally stay in storage for a configurable time (30 days by default).

Important: Keep the recovery key somewhere safe, e.g. in a password manager. Without it the encrypted files cannot be opened.
