Working with several workstations

Under Settings → Connection, ImotDesk works either as a single workstation (data on the PC) or with the ImotDesk server.

What server mode offers

• shared data for all workstations
• sign-in per user, as administrator or agent
• photos and documents are uploaded and downloaded automatically
• exports, mailbox and backup run on the server

Setting up the server

The server program is available for Linux and Windows; it comes with every release and works with MySQL/MariaDB or SQLite. To reach the server from outside, use a web server with its own certificate or a Cloudflare Tunnel without an open port.
